Hudig & Veder coordinates the (un)loading of vessels in all Dutch, Belgian and German ports.
A full service provider, specialised in raw materials such as minerals, coal, ore, animal feed and agri-products. During this door to door transshipment, Hudig & Veder serves as a freight forwarder, coordinates (un)loading operations, inspects the cargo, bulk or break bulk, takes care of the sampling, arranges storage, transfers cargo into coasters, barges or trucks, inspects vessels, establishes the weight and takes care of the customs formalities.
Hudig & Veder serves the whole supply chain.
Transhipment / stevedoring
Hudig & Veder transfers the cargo, bulk and break bulk, that arrives in the ports to any desired form of transport. From ship to inland barge and vice versa, from ship to storage or truck. All combinations are possible. Hudig & Veder is active in Dutch, Belgian and German ports.
Cargo inspection and analysis
Hudig & Veder visually inspects the cargo, checks the holds (Load Compartment Inspection (LCI)), establishes the weight, takes samples and prepare them for analysis. The samples can be examined with respect to moisture content, chemical composition (XRF/ICP), bulk density, whiteness etc. A screen test can also be conducted to establish the grain sizes.
Barging
Hudig & Veder offers barging to the main European destinations. Modern barges are at their disposal for carrying bulk, break bulk, coal, ore, containers etc.
Dry storage for bulk and break bulk
In the Vulcaanhaven at Vlaardingen, Hudig & Veder has her own 45.000 m3 warehouse. The warehouse is devided in 36 compartments of 1.250 m3 each. In addition to this, we can offer storage facilities in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Moerdijk and Antwerp .
Added services
Hudig & Veder offers additional services such as packing bulk in big bags, unpacking big bags and filling silo trucks, palletizing etc. Also handling of customs formalities: the complete processing of the documents required for clearance of import and export cargo.
